Feminist Peace Programme
The FemPeaceEA project provides small activity-based support to partner feminist organizations within our network, supporting their peacebuilding initiatives, community outreach, dialogue, and networking.
This support enabled partner feminist organizations in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Uganda to organize and implement a wide range of initiatives to strengthen the knowledge and skills of their communities on feminist peacebuilding , digital safety, and countering gendered disinformation and Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TGBV). This included hosting community-based mental health walks, mobilizing women and community members to march, clean their community space, and call for a world free from violence against women and sobriety support groups to support the wellbeing and mental health of their communities, as well as addressing the shame and stigma connected to mental health, and creating safer spaces within their communities for collective social transformation. Currently, this support continues, with feminist partners organizing both online and on the ground engagements.
